The Rivers of the Langney Haven remain high following Thursday's rain. Flooding will continue to affect gardens of properties of Langney Green. Fields and parkland including Shinewater Park could also be affected. Only isolated showers are forecast Friday to Tuesday, which should not add a lot more water. However, further river rise is still expected over periods of high tide (10:00 and 22:00). Although, water levels are only expected to rise by around 20cm, so hopefully not increasing flood risk significantly. River levels should peak, and begin to fall in Langney by 03:00 17/01/2026, but minor flood impacts could remain until Sunday. Almost no rainfall is predicted on Wednesday afternoon, through to the weekend. Only isolated showers are forecast for Wednesday (03/01/2024). The river should begin to fall by 08:00 (03/01/2024). However, with another 15-30mm of rain possible on Thursday (04/01/2024), flood risk could return. Land will remain flooded over the next few days.
