Langney Haven
The Langney Haven is high and rising over each high tide. The next tides are at 23:00 on Tuesday (08/11/2022) and 11:30 on Wednesday (09/11/2022). Flooding could affect gardens of Langney Green, and potentially approach properties at Langney Green too. Fields and parkland including Shinewater Park could also be affected. Wednesday's peak water level could be 20cm higher than we've seen so far in recent days. There remains uncertainty in the weather forecast, particularly around rainfall amounts and locations. Scattered heavy showers forecast for Tuesday evening and Wednesday, also have the potential to cause another small rise in levels. River levels might not return nearer to normal until next week (16/11/2022). Please take proactive action to help reduce the impact of flooding. Flood protection products are recommended to be installed at Langney Green, if you have them. We are operating our structures at Fence Bridge to help keep the river flowing freely and reduce flood risk. We will update this message by 11:00 09/11/2022.
